Daniel wasn't sure what he wanted to do right now. In fact, he wasn't sure about anything. Well, maybe that wasn't true. He was sure about his abilities. He was also sure about how he felt when it came to Calliope Ambrosia. Damn, that was one beautiful girl. They were only friends and she was kind of...a female dog sometimes but...he liked her. But, what he wasn't sure about was whether or not he should tell her. And, that if he did, eventually, what she would say about it. He knew she wasn't close to anyone but him so he didn't have to worry about her running off and laughing at him behind his back. But, even still, that didn't bring him much comfort. Danny liked knowing things and have certainties in place. Uncertainty brought about chaos and that was something he didn't prefer. Rolling out of bed, he dressed himself in a pair of shorts and a v-neck t-shirt, black to be exact, and threw on a pair of flip flops. He was headed to the beach, that was for damn sure. The day was just too beautiful to waste.
Coming to sit on the sand a few minutes later, Danny let out a heavy sigh and ran his hand through his dark hair as he looked at the ocean. Would Cally show up here? It wasn't like he had telepathy like that kid Slade; oh no, he had the power of telekinesis. Which meant he could lift things and throw them across the room. He could also lift people if he wanted but that required mental strain that he wasn't really into acquiring. He sat back for a moment and reflected on the reason he was sent here. He had actually thrown a kid a little while back. The guy had been harassing a small cat, injuring it really, and Daniel had reacted almost instinctively, tossing the kid away from the animal and accidentally into a tree, breaking three of his ribs. Danny hadn't meant to hurt the guy, he had barely even known him. He just hated seeing animals abused. He hated any kind of abuse, really.
Sighing again, he focused on his attention on the sand that was lifting from the ground around him. Yes, he was doing that without actually thinking about it. He could do that, you know. He began to toss "handfuls" of it into the water before him, out of pure boredom. He began to wonder again if Cally would show up. Why he wanted to see her so damned bad? He hadn't the slightest idea.

ever since calliope had gotten her her power she couldn't imagine anyone wanting to be with her since everyone back home thought she was a monster after they found out what she had done to her father. after that she pretty much hid herself away from everything and everyone and turned into a very bitter person. it was a new start for cally, here on poseidon island. calliope was actually kind of surprised to her when she made friends with daniel, so quickly. it also felt nice 'cause he was one of not so many that were able to make her happy and actually smile. she absolutely loved spending time with him. she absolutely loves how he made her feel. all of this was probably noticeable. over the past couple of months maybe she had become to like him more then she should but she would never admit that 'cause she knew he was much better off with some else.
she'd been sitting around doing absolutely nothing all morning , and she was bored of it. cally needed something to do and she was planning on seeking out something to do. running a hand through her dark brown hair she let out a slightly exaggerated sigh as she stood up off the couch. she was definitely leaving the house, no one was there her sister was off who know's where doing who know's what which pretty much cally alone. she thought she would be used to the quiet and the lonely feelings since she lived like that for a few years. it was kind of sad but she wasn't used to the feeling. she'd be fine if she was around people and depending where she was she most likely wouldn't talk to anyone 'cause most people bugged her. calliope didn't really know where she was going. it was basically wherever her feet took her.
as she was walking along the cement path on the edge of the beach. of course, a very special someone had caught her eye. she automatically changed her direction off the path towards the male. a small smile appeared but not enough to show any teeth just a simple smile. "hey danny!" she spoke with a slightly raised voice so that he could hear her. she was still walking across the beach. the island had the most amazing beaches and usually spent her time at the beach in her bikini and not fully clothes in jeans and a tank top. the sun was enjoyable. once she was close enough she opened her arms and asked "did you miss me?" she asked in a joking matter. of course, she had her arms open because she was planning on giving him a hug but she thought about it for a second ad dropped them realizing that it probably wasn't a good idea. which made that smile on her face fade, this power of hers wasn't a gift if anything it was a curse.

Danny was pulled from his thoughtless haze when he heard a soft female voice ring out across the beach. His name had been a part of what was said and that was what had caught his attention so easily. Looking around for the person who had made the sound, he spotted Cally moving towards him and he smiled in her direction. "Hey you!" he called as he watched her get closer to him and open her arms as if to give him a hug. But, as soon as he was about to stand up and return the hug, she dropped her arms and the smile that had been on her face just moments before disappeared as quickly as it had come. Because of that, he stayed in his spot on the sand below him and watched her, wondering what had happened. Instead of asking directly, Daniel made light of the situation by making a joke. Cracking on himself, he quipped, "What? Do I smell or something?" Danny asked, making a show of sniffing himself as he checked to see if he truly was offensive in odor.
Grinning softly, he patted the sand next to him, encouraging her to sit down. "It's been a while." he said, smiling more as he waited for her to take a seat. While he did so, he let his gaze turn back out to the ocean before them. He knew Cally, sure, but he had never asked about her power or anything, he realized. That meant he truly didn't know Calliope Ambrosia. Because, on this island, you couldn't truly know someone until you knew the power they held. Just by knowing that, you would know how strong they were, what their advantages were against you, and what they could do in the event that there was a conflict. Daniel could throw people if he was threatened but it wasn't like he went around doing so on a daily basis. Glancing back at Cally as he waited for her response, he started thinking over options of what powers she could be wielding.
