"i don't believe we have met. what's your name?"
my name is daniel raleigh simpson. haha, no i am not related to jessica or ashley simpson. i mostly go by the name danny but some people do call me daniel, especially my mom. raleigh is pronounced just like the city in north carolina. Rah lee. They gave me the daniel because of the story in the bible, daniel and the lion's den. they gave me raleigh because that's where i was born and the fact that it sounds awesome. at least, in my opinion it is.
"that's very interesting. now, can you tell me how old your are?"
i was born in raleigh, north carolina, as i said before, in january of 1993, making me eighteen years old to this day. there isn't much a story to tell about my birth except that it was snowing and my parents didn't think they would make it to the hospital in time to have me. mom nearly had me in the passenger seat of our car. but, by some miracle, i was born in a hospital.
"huh, cool. i must say you do look stunning."
i'm tall, about 6'2 and about a hundred and eighty five pounds. i have short, black hair and brown eyes. i do have a tan that is natural but i can get darker if i stay out in the sun for a while. i work out a lot so i do have great abs, if i do say so myself. my arms are also pretty big and most people tell me that it's intimidating to stand near me sometimes because of my size. not really my problem because i love the way i look. i'm proud of it. i have a few scars, one of my shoulder, one on my jaw, and one on the forearm of my right hand side. all from various accidents and mischief.
"very nice. everyone on the island has a supernatural power, what's yours?"

oh, yeah. i have telekinesis which allows me to move objects and sometimes even people with my mind. it allows me to be a lazy person when i want to be, which i guess you can is an advantage. say i'm sitting on my bed and i want to turn on the tv and don't have the remote. i can either bring the remote to myself or push the button on the tv with just a thought or two. it's all mind over matter, really. the cons to this are the fact that you can get the manipulation of an object wrong and possibly break it or, if you were back in my hometown where not very many people had powers, you could freak someone out if they saw you.
"tell me what do you like? do you have hobbies?

soccer is a big hobby of mine, it's what keeps me in tip top form and i'd have to say that it's my passion. it's the one thing where i am truly myself without my powers. when i'm not on the field, i love to read books, anything from where the red fern grows to something more along the lines of the muse asylum. simple reads to more challenging and philosophic bound. i draw a lot of comics whenever i find myself in a lull of what to with my time. as far as food goes, i love doritos, pepperoni pizza, vanilla fanta, chocolate, cherry coke, and the list goes on. hey, i'm a male, what did you expect?
"really! well, then, what do you dislike?"

i hate anything that has to do with abuse, whether it's animal or child or spousal. an individual should not lay their hands on another in hostility or violence. it's something i can't stand and won't stand for if i see it or it becomes known to me. i have been known to throw a teenage boy away from a cat that he was harassing. my bad. i also don't like people who cheat on their boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse, what have you because i believe that if you care for someone, they should make you happy enough not to stray. if you're not happy, end the relationship and move on. i dislike red lights, asparagus, and hot dogs. sure, if i'm hungry i'll eat but they're not something i'm going to pick out for myself. if i don't want it, don't force me. that's another thing i hate, people who try to impose their will on others. everyone has free will for a reason, right?
"cool, cool. so what's your family like?"

my father's name is evan ralph simpson and he is forty years old, he married my mom when they were in their twenties. my mom's name is dana louise simpson and she is thirty nine. my father is a firefighter and my mom is a librarian, they still live in raleigh. i have a few younger siblings, making me the oldest. charles elijah simpson is fifteen years old, jeremy ryder simpson is ten, and briana louise simpson is five years old. so, yes, that's makes four of us simpson kids. none of them have powers, that we're aware of. however, i suspect that briana may have some that haven't developed yet. only time will tell.
"everyone has a secret, tell me one of yours. i promise not to tell."

like i just said, i think my little sister briana may have dormant powers. my parents don't know about it and i'd like to keep it that way until i'm absolutely sure. that means that you're not going to say a word about it. capiche?
"that is juicy! tell me about your past."

i was born in raleigh, north carolina to evan and dana simpson on a cold, snowy day in january of 1993. i am the first born of four children and have two younger brothers and a baby sister. i have always lived in raleigh, up until i was sent away to this island at the age of fifteen. i got my powers around the age of seven but my parents didn't know about them until i was about nine years old. they were accepting of it for a while and my dad even did his best to help me hone my skills. however, they weren't too happy when i launched that kid away from the cat and broke three of his ribs. that was when my parents decided that i was better off quarantined somewhere. this island. my siblings were heartbroken to see me go, to say the least, but i and they understand why i've been sent away. i have no regrets.

well, hello there! my name is misfit, and i've got eighteen candles on my cake! i've been roleplaying for five years. oh, and just so you know i got skills, here's an example of my work:Sadie was full of excitement and nerves and she knew that she would probably cry when she was Colt again for the first time in six months. She hoped that she wouldn't but it could happen. Hell, she and his mother had cried for a long time both before and after he had departed from America to wherever it was he had been deployed. Sadie had known that dating a military guy would be hard but she had accepted the challenge because she couldn't see having a life without him. Colt was basically everything to her and she loved to brag about him to her friends. How handsome he was, how strong, how sweet. She would tell them about the letters he sent to her, minus all of the intimate details that would sometimes flare up between the two of them secretly. Somewhere along this whole "Dear John" like situation, Sadie had fallen in love with Colt and, at thirty three, she knew that he was the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life. Yes, she even wanted to start a family with him. She would have to talk to him about all of that. Eventually. For now, all she cared about was the fact that he was coming home and that he would be in her arms and her in his in just a few short moments.
She heard his plane being called out as one who had just arrived and her pulse heightened, the sound of her own blood thrumming in her ears as she watched the crowd of people around her moving this way and that, off to destinations unknown. She saw tearful wives gathering husbands and brothers and sons and daughters into their arms. It was a magical thing, this homecoming of soldiers. Everyone was connected by this event and the excitement and tension within this building could be cut with a knife. Everyone was keyed up, waiting for their loved one to come to them. Sadie kept her eyes ahead of her now, knowing that he would be coming towards her at any time. She had figured that by now he would be getting his luggage and saying his last goodbyes to his comrades. She let her mind wander for just the slightest second as she waited.
Only to be pulled back into reality when she heard footsteps approaching and looked up into the eyes of the man of six four she had fallen in love with. He smelled of soap and man and she loved it. Thankfully, there were no tears yet. She could the happiness in his eyes but she also detected something else there, something she couldn't quite name. He said hey and Sadie jumped into his arms, throwing her arms around his neck as she all but squealed, "Baby!" She buried her face in his neck and held him tight. It had been a long six months without him and she was eager to make up for lost hugs and kisses. Lifting her head from his neck, she smiled at him before placing her mouth against his own in welcome. She was truly in love.
